Restaurant Café Hirsch in Besigheim

Since we can't go out to eat, the food comes to us: Sauerbraten, napkin dumplings, red cabbage - so delicious. But also at "normal" times a recommendation, always tasty seasonal dishes.

Very nice location in the center of Besigheim, between half-timbered houses. Clear menu, friendly service. Food came quickly, there were no complaints. Can be recommended without a doubt.

The restaurant, located in the middle of the beautiful old town, offers excellent Swabian cuisine (and meat quality), good wines and friendly service. This is how gastronomy should be, full marks!

Rarely had dinner in the same restaurant for 2 days in a row. But the food was so good that we really wanted to repeat it. As some other reviewers wrote, the onion roast made from Argentinean roast beef was simply unbeatable. The waitresses are very friendly and attentive. Price / performance also okay. The tip for a Lehmberger pomace brandy as a "nightcap" was excellent and can only be recommended.

That's the way it has to be! Such restaurants are far too rare today. Where everything fits. Location, service, quality, price. Thanks to the team.

The restaurant is in a nice location and you can sit outside in the summer. The food was delicious and also very nicely presented. You can't complain about longer waiting times, as the drinks and food were brought to the table very quickly! Paying by card is also possible here, which I think is good!

Senational! There is nothing else to say! From the starter to the main course to dessert. Seldom eaten better than here. In addition, a mega friendly staff and mega fast service. We will be back

Very delicious food, especially the French fries that are so delicious are rarely found today. The roast beef variants that we had were all delicious. Gladly again.

Very good, home-style restaurant with local dishes. The menu has enough choice (including vegetarian and vegan dishes!) And is also manageable. The highlighted locality (many ingredients are directly described with their origin) gives a very good feeling. The service is really good and compliance with the corona-related hygiene rules is well implemented.

Very tasty food! We had the Käse Spätzle, Pork Medallions with Spätzle, Geschmälzte Maultaschen and the Forelle! The meals came quick and all at the same time. So very nice and friendly service as well :) Certainly recommend this place if your in the area.

In the middle of the historic old town of Besigheim, this great restaurant is located in a medieval half-timbered house. You can sit inside as well as outside. The staff is very nice and friendly. Swabian cuisine is offered here at a high level without being expensive. The food and drinks menu is very good and balanced. Sitting outside in the narrow streets is very pleasant at high temperatures and accompanied by a nice glass of wine or beer.

Have been here a few times and have tasted different each time. Staff, service, quality, price / performance ratio and atmosphere are right, therefore 5 stars. Thank you ? we'd love to come back!

Plate money. The costs should have been communicated beforehand. The invoice came after we paid, after express request, for 20 minutes. When we left I asked the waitress if she had forgotten them. Only then was I given one. I had to search for roast onions in the "Deluxe" deer platter.

May 2019 - I chose the Hirsch restaurant in downtown Besigheim today and was disappointed with neither the food nor the staff. The ordered brawn was delicious, only to be recommended. As the temperatures invited, you could sit outside on rustic wooden tables and benches. Around you the romance of old half-timbered houses, only the occasionally passing vehicles disturb a little the atmosphere. But well, somehow the retailers have to be supplied and there are neighbors ?

I jus go for the steaks sometimes. Unfortunately they are a little dry. Should change the source.

Fresh local food served in this wonderful town. Friendly staff. They accept credit cards and speak english.

Best lunch in the region! I ate the "Marsch" wich was done perfectly. Was surprised. Prices are excellent. Staff is really helpful and kind.

Very nice café and restaurant. And place to linger and spend your afternoon sipping a great glass of local wine. The Hirsch restaurant, café and hotel sits on all four corners of a lovely crossroads right in the middle of Besigheim. You've got the choice between the different places each with its proper charm. Cuisine is recommended throughout the region. You can rely on local meats and seasonal vegetable. After spending the they in one of Baden-Wurttemberg's most admirable and formidable old towns, you should call it a day at the Hirsch. Great stay as well for overnight weekends. It is however not a budget location. Service is friendly and usually very quick. Every wish is catered for as far as i am concerned. Recommend a bike trip along the rivers Neckar or Enz during your stay.

Typical local specialities & generous salads. Tables outside in pedestrian area with lovely "Fachwerk" buildings around. Food is very good.
